    Baker/Hankin

    ELIOT, Maine -- Michael and Lauren Baker of Eliot, Maine, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth A. Baker of Eliot, to Patrick S. Hankin, also of Eliot. Hankin is the son of William and Maureen Hankin of Eliot.

    Baker graduated from Hesser College in 2006 and is employed as a medical assistant for Core Physicians Services.

    Hankin is a 2001 graduate of University of Maine at Orono; he is employed as a welder at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

    A Sept. 29, ceremony is planned to be held at Clay Hill Farm in Cape Neddick, Maine.


    Dean/Houlihan

    WAITSFIELD, Vt. -- Erin Brooke Dean and John Patrick Houlihan, both of Portsmouth, were united in marriage on June 24, 2006, at The Skinner Barn in Waitsfield, Vt., by the Rev. Judith Joyce.

    The bride, daughter of Elizabeth and Gerald F. Dean of New Fairfield, Conn., earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in neuroscience from the University of Delaware, and is working toward a Master of Science degree in nursing at the University of New Hampshire. The bride is employed as an infection control nurse at Exeter Hospital.

    The groom, son of Laurie and Edward Houlihan of Plaistow, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history at the University of New Hampshire. He earned his Master of Arts degree in teaching from UNH, and is employed as a social studies teacher at Dover High School.

    Readings at the ceremony were given by Cynthia Niederhelman, aunt of the bride, and Robert Houlihan, uncle of the groom. Groomsmen were Sean Dean of Melrose, Mass., brother of the bride; Bob Fitzgerald of Plaistow; Luke Hart of Cambridge, Mass.; Dave Gaithuna of Boise, Idaho; Ken MacFadyen of Brooklyn, N.Y.,; and Brian Magoon of Epping; all friends of the groom.

    Cristen Houlihan of Newburyport, Mass., sister of the groom, was the maid of honor, and Christine Dean of Melrose, Mass., sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids, all friends of the bride, were Stefanie Kelly of Plainsboro, N.J.; Maureen Singer of Haddam, Conn.; Sabra Gonzalez of Douglasville, Ga.; and, Bridget Hogue of Tacoma, Wash.

    A reception was held at The Skinner Barn in Waitsfield, Vt. The couple honeymooned in Belize and resides in Portsmouth.


    Ortega/Casey

    HAMPTON -- Tasha Ortega and Timothy Casey Jr., both of Portsmouth, were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony with a unity candle on Dec. 18, 2006, at Grace Chapel in Hampton by Jane Cummings.

    The bride, daughter of Alan and Sandra Hicks of Pelham, is a high school graduate and homemaker. The groom, son of Denise and Ron Chapdelaine of Bradford, Mass., earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and is self-employed.

    Dan Chapman of Fremont was the best man, and Danielle Nelson was the maid of honor. A reception was held at La Bec Rouge. The couple honeymooned in Niagara Falls, Canada.
